Jaime Valderrama is the Managing Director of Viña Miguel Torres Chile, Chile’s most prestigious Family Wineries, subsidiary of Familia Torres based in Cataluña, Spain.
The winery based in Curicó, two hours south of the Capital, Santiago, and seven properties are located primarily in Curicó, Maule, Itata, and Cohaique. The strategic pillars of Miguel Torres Chile are Organic Viticulture, Fair Trade Wines, and Continuous innovation.

Mr. Valderrama began his career at Miguel Torres Chile in 2010, as Commercial Director reporting directly to Mr. Miguel Torres M., who lived in Chile (currently Managing Director for Familia Torres). During his tenure, Mr. Valderrama has been responsible for various initiatives, including developing and launching the first sparkling traditional method made from pais grape, chosen twice best Chilean Sparkling by Wines of Chile Awards. He also managed the development and launching of the first Spirit from Miguel Torres Chile, Pisco El Gobernador (The Governor), and achieved continuous growth of the Torres project in Chile.

In his current role, Mr. Valderrama manages the Torres operation in Chile, manages its own vineyards production, winery, direct distribution network in Chile, exports to more than 50 countries, and two restaurants with retail service operated as flagship locations.

Mr. Valderrama serves as President on the Wine Route of Curicó, is part of the first Chilean Fair Trade Association and Chilean Pisco Association board of directors. Before joining Miguel Torres Chile, Mr. Valderrama managed Operational, Financial, and Commercial responsibilities at prestigious wineries and mining companies from Chile. He performed
the same duties while living for six years in Perú and USA.

A native of Santiago – Chile, Mr. Valderrama earned his minor in Agricultural Engineering and
Agricultural Economy from the Catholic University of Chile and his MBA from Loyola in Maryland. He completed executive programs at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania: Make Strategy Work and Business Model Innovation in the Digital Age and ESADE Barcelona Business Agility.
